Commercial Electrician (Beta)

Location: Tampa, Florida
Position: Full-Time
Pay: Salary based on experience

About the Opportunity

A growing electrical contractor in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a motivated Commercial Electrician to join our team. This is a beta job posting for employers looking to attract qualified commercial electricians. We welcome experienced journeymen as well as electricians with strong commercial construction backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems
• Bend and install EMT, IMC, PVC, and rigid conduit
• Pull wire and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and wiring schematics
• Install branch circuits, feeders, lighting, receptacles, and electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using meters and testing equipment
• Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and OSHA safety regulations
• Work on new construction, tenant improvements, remodels, and service projects
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, contractors, and customers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred
• Knowledge of commercial wiring methods and NEC standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience operating lifts and working from ladders
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• OSHA certification is a plus
