About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Chandelier Installation Electrician to join our team in the Chicago area. This position specializes in the installation, wiring, assembly, maintenance, and servicing of decorative lighting fixtures in luxury homes, hotels, churches, banquet halls, museums, theaters, and commercial properties. Electricians install and maintain lighting systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). (Indeed)

Responsibilities

• Install and wire decorative chandeliers, pendant lighting, sconces, and custom light fixtures
• Assemble crystal, glass, brass, and designer lighting fixtures according to manufacturer specifications
• Install and replace ceiling-mounted electrical boxes rated for heavy fixtures
• Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and personnel lifts on high-ceiling installations
• Troubleshoot wiring, dimming systems, LED drivers, and lighting controls
• Install support cables, mounting hardware, and structural bracing for oversized chandeliers
• Read blueprints, electrical drawings, and installation instructions
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA regulations, and local Chicago electrical codes
• Test fixtures and lighting controls before project completion
• Maintain a clean and professional job site while delivering outstanding customer service

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential or commercial electrical experience preferred
• Experience installing decorative or architectural lighting fixtures is a plus
• Ability to safely lift and install heavy chandeliers with team assistance
• Knowledge of electrical wiring methods, dimming systems, and lighting controls
• Comfortable working at heights using lifts and scaffolding
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Illinois electrical license or apprenticeship experience preferred
